What We Do: Inside Reach & Touch's Three Core Programmes

4/9/2024

Reach and Touch Charity Initiative organises its work around three core programmes, each addressing a different layer of support that children with special needs and their families need. 1. CHILD SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT Improving the quality of life, inclusion, and developmental progress of children with special needs through structured, condition-specific support. This includes inclusive education support, therapy and developmental support referrals, and child protection and safeguarding — because a child's wellbeing depends on more than any single intervention. 2. CAREGIVER EMPOWERMENT & FAMILY STRENGTHENING Equipping parents and caregivers with knowledge, emotional support, and practical tools to build a strong, informed family structure. Through parent training, support groups, and economic resilience support, we work to strengthen the whole family unit, not just the child. 3. ADVOCACY & COMMUNITY INCLUSION Working to create communities that understand, accept, and support children with special needs. Disability awareness campaigns, policy and rights advocacy, and building inclusive support networks all help create the community-level change that makes individual interventions sustainable. Together, these three programmes have supported 320+ children, empowered 210+ parents and caregivers, and reached 900+ community members.
