Volunteer Experiences

Why Volunteers Are the Heart of Our Work

7/4/2024

Volunteers play an essential role in extending care and expanding impact within the communities Reach and Touch Charity Initiative serves. Through volunteer engagement, we create opportunities for compassionate individuals and professionals to contribute their time, skills, and expertise toward supporting children with special needs and their families. We coordinate three main volunteer tracks: HANDS-ON VOLUNTEERING — Supporting community outreach events, disability awareness campaigns, and caregiver support sessions directly. SKILLS-BASED VOLUNTEERING — Offering professional expertise in special education support, therapy services, counselling, training and facilitation, communications and digital strategy, or monitoring and evaluation. INTERNSHIPS & FELLOWSHIPS — Gaining structured experience while contributing to inclusive, mission-driven work. No prior experience with disability services is required for hands-on roles — just a commitment to showing up. Skills-based roles ask for relevant professional expertise, matched to where it's needed most. If you're ready to give your time, visit our Get Involved page to find the volunteer track that fits you.
