Program Overview

What This Program Does

Evidence-based solutions are essential for improving the lives of children with special needs. Our Research & Policy Programme generates knowledge, supports innovation, and promotes informed decision-making that advances disability inclusion, child protection, and sustainable community development.

Reach & Touch Charity Initiative conducts research, needs assessments, programme evaluations, policy analysis, and community studies to better understand the challenges faced by children with disabilities and their families. The insights gained help shape our programmes, strengthen partnerships, and inform advocacy efforts aimed at improving educational, healthcare, and social support systems.

We collaborate with universities, research institutions, government agencies, healthcare professionals, educators, and development partners to produce practical recommendations that contribute to inclusive policies and improved service delivery. Our work also supports the collection and analysis of data that measures programme effectiveness, identifies emerging needs, and guides strategic planning.

The programme encourages innovation by exploring new approaches, technologies, and best practices that enhance accessibility, rehabilitation, inclusive education, and community participation. Findings are shared through reports, policy briefs, publications, stakeholder forums, and knowledge-sharing events to promote collaboration and evidence-based action.

Through research and policy engagement, we help create stronger systems that protect children's rights, improve public understanding of disability, and encourage investments in inclusive development. By combining knowledge with action, our Research & Policy Programme contributes to lasting solutions that empower children with special needs to live healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.

A Story of Impact

Caregiver Empowerment & Emotional Support

A mother of a child with special needs reported experiencing isolation and emotional burnout. After participating in structured caregiver support sessions organised by the Initiative, she gained practical coping strategies, connected with other parents facing similar challenges, and developed stronger advocacy skills for her child.
